James G. "Jim" Johnson, II, 73, of Woods Drive, Canton, died Tues., December 30, 2014 at his home while under the care of his loving family and Hospice.
The family will receive friends on Fri, January 2nd from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Lawrence Funeral Home, Park Street, Canton. Graveside services will be held in Mount Orab, Ohio at a later date.
Surviving are his wife, Judy of Canton; the son, James "Jay" G. Johnson, III of California; two daughters, Angela Dawson-Pearson and husband Gene of Albany, GA and Bebhinn Tondee and husband Larry of Rome, GA; a sister, Joyce Johnson of Orlando, FL and five grandchildren, Damian, Erin and Annelyse of Albany, GA and Celeste and Haidan of Rome, GA.
James was born June 9, 1941 in Charleston, WV, a son of the late James G. and Irma G. Johnson. He graduated Charleston High School in 1959 and later attended West Virginia University and later University of Kentucky.
On February 12, 1977, he married Judy Young in Ohio.
James and his family moved to Canton, NY in 1989, and was named General Manager of McAdam Cheese in Heuvelton. He was also a Board Member for the Canton Housing Authority. After McAdam Cheese closed, he went to work for Lucille Farms in Swanton, VT, where he was President.
